Redistricting Tracker

Geocodio tracks redistricting and updates boundaries as new or revised districts are released.

Geocodio tracks redistricting so you don't have to. When you request Congressional or state legislative districts, the data reflects the latest available boundaries.

In the maps below, you can click on any state to see the latest updates.

To request Congressional districts for the 119th Congress (2025-2027), use the cd field append in the Geocodio API. You can also request 119th Congress data using the Congressional district append in the spreadsheet geocoding tool. Data for the 119th Congress is returned by default.

If you would like to request upcoming Congressional district changes for the 120th Congress (2027-2029), use the cd120 field append in the Geocodio API or choose the "Districts as of the 120th Congress" option in the spreadsheet geocoding tool. This will return new district boundaries as they are updated in our database. See the map below for the current status of each state.

Major redistricting of State Legislative Districts occurred in 2021 and 2022, but continues to be updated due to litigation within individual states. Geocodio returns new district data as it becomes available.

To request current State Legislative Districts, use the stateleg field append in the Geocodio API. You can also request upcoming State Legislative District changes using the State Legislative Districts append in the spreadsheet geocoding tool and choosing the "Upcoming state legislative districts" option. Upcoming districts changes for future elections can be requested using the stateleg-next data append.
